The Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) held a grand closing ceremony for the ODOS Summer Camp (Class of 2025), celebrating the successful development and enhancement of Thai youth capabilities through 16 internationally recognized digital technology curricula from 9 leading countries worldwide. The initiative aims to build a network of young individuals equipped with comprehensive knowledge, advanced skills, and a global mindset, enabling them to apply their acquired experience and technological expertise toward community development, social advancement, and sustainable economic growth in Thailand's digital era.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuttapon Nimmanphatcharin, President/CEO of Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), presided over the certificate presentation ceremony for youth participants who successfully completed the ODOS Summer Camp (Class of 2025) program. Dr. Warin Ratchananusorn, Acting Senior Executive Vice President of depa and Project Director, joined the ceremony alongside executive representatives from government agencies, private sector partners, and educational institutions, as well as youth representatives from districts nationwide. The event atmosphere was filled with warmth, admiration, and pride from all participating stakeholders. The highlight featured a Showcase & Sharing platform, providing youth representatives from all 16 curricula the opportunity to present in-depth experiences from their learning journey, daily life, and international study visits. These presentations demonstrated the developmental progress of Thai youth in technical digital competencies (hard skills), teamwork capabilities, systematic problem-solving approaches, and global mindset acquisition attributes essential for driving innovation and national development in the future.
"Amid the volatility of global geopolitics and the rapid, disruptive transformation of technology, preparing our 'human capital' serves as a critical determinant of our nation's competitive capabilities and strategic direction. The ODOS Summer Camp initiative extends beyond merely sending youth abroad to study technology; it nurtures young individuals to evolve into 'global citizens' who comprehensively understand the contexts of supply chain transformations and the global economy. Participants in this program represent high-quality seeds who have experienced authentic innovation ecosystems abroad, gaining direct exposure to technological advancement, cross-cultural collaboration, and social diversity. I firmly believe that the experience and knowledge acquired will transform into significant catalysts for integrating Thailand into the international digital economy. Each participant is now prepared to serve as a change agent, transferring inspiration and extending knowledge back to their communities and society in tangible ways," stated the depa CEO.
Dr. Warin elaborated on the curriculum's comprehensive content, noting that the success of ODOS Summer Camp Cohort 1 resulted from close collaboration with world-leading universities across 9 countries in co-designing curricula that authentically address digital-era requirements. The program encompassed topics ranging from Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced Data Analytics to Game Development and business management innovation. Participants gained not only classroom knowledge but also direct experience through study visits to global technology corporations, exposure to innovation ecosystems, and immersive cross-cultural living experiences. These elements constitute a valuable intellectual investment that plays a crucial role in enabling youth to discover their potential, clearly define their future career trajectories, and develop into essential forces driving Thailand's digital industry to compete effectively and adapt sustainably to global transformations.
Furthermore, the ODOS Summer Camp initiative remains committed to continuing its mission of creating equitable educational opportunities for Thai youth nationwide. The selection process for talented youth to participate in ODOS Summer Camp Class of 2026 is currently underway, with expectations to build upon the success of the inaugural cohort and generate increasingly tangible positive impacts on Thailand's society, economy, and digital ecosystem.
