This trend aligns with the fact that across Asia, the appeal of domestic travel is growing, with 2026 Travel Outlook Report by Agoda results revealing that over a third of Asians (35%) plan to travel more domestically than internationallya sharp rise from just 15% last year. Lesser-known destinations are starting to capture the attention of Thai travelers, with factors such as available budget options and unique cultural experiences emerging as the top reasons for choosing secondary destinations.

- Phu Kradueng, Loei remains a bucket-list hike in Thailand because of its dramatic ascent and unforgettable summit experience. The trail is tougher than many expect, with sandy and shifting ground that makes the climb physically demanding. At the top, the mountain opens into a vast plateau about 1,316 meters above sea level, offering sweeping forested landscapes, cliffs, cloud-kissed mornings, and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.
