Bangkok--27 Aug--Best Western International
Best Western International — the World’s Largest Hotel Chain — has announced the latest addition of its first hotel in Muscat — the capital of the Sultanate of Oman.
The luxury BEST WESTERN PREMIER Muscat is located in the key business and commercial district of Al Khuwair, close to several embassies and government ministries. With such an ideal location, perfect for both business and leisure travelers, the hotel is certain to become a key part of Muscat's tourism industry scene. The hotel is scheduled to open its doors in October 2012.
The opening of the hotel will mark the debut of the BEST WESTERN PREMIER brand in the Middle East, entering a new era of development in Best Western's 66-year history and a key stage of the Middle East hotel industry.
“The Middle East is one of the most exciting hotel markets in the world today, and the cosmopolitan city of Muscat is at the heart of its development,” said Glenn de Souza, Best Western International’s Vice President International Operations — Asia & the Middle East.
“The launch of the BEST WESTERN PREMIER Muscat will offer the perfect combination of superior facilities, exquisite service and international-standard amenities in the center of this fast-growing city. I am sure this hotel will prove to be a game-changer — not only for the city of Muscat and the Sultanate of Oman, but also for Best Western’s development in the Middle East,” Mr. de Souza added.
Designed in a modern yet traditional style, guests at the 10-story BEST WESTERM PREMIER Muscat are greeted in a refreshing lobby. The hotel's 203 contemporary guestrooms and suites offer a range of refined amenities such as plush bedding, 42-inch LED flat-screen TVs with a variety of satellite channels, complimentary Wi-Fi and luxurious bathrooms with rain showers.
The hotel's Premier Floor meanwhile, offers a range of well-appointed accommodation and enhanced amenities, including the Premier Lounge & Terrace which serves light snacks and beverages throughout the day.
The hotel also includes two restaurants - the Atrium all-day dining outlet and Mashawi Grill, a grill house serving exquisite Middle Eastern dishes. The lobby-level Connection Caf? also serves a selection of coffees, teas and fresh fruit juices with complimentary use of computers hubs.
Corporate guests can also take advantage of four function rooms accommodating 15-150 delegates for seminars, business meetings or private dinners and events, while other hotel facilities include a fitness center, sauna and indoor swimming pool.
The opening of the BEST WESTERN PREMIER Muscat forms part of a major Middle Eastern expansion strategy for Best Western. In addition to the four existing hotels in Riyadh, Al Khobar, Doha and Tel Aviv, Best Western plans to add a further 20 hotels across the region within 2015.
“The Middle East offers a huge amount of potential to the international hotel market and we are sure that customers in the region will love Best Western’s core values of comfort, value for money and excellent service. Combined with the luxurious trappings of the BEST WESTERN PREMIER brand, I have the utmost confidence that the BEST WESTERN PREMIER Muscat will be hugely popular with guests in this exciting city,” Mr. de Souza concluded.
