Amid persistently high living costs and elevated household debt levels, Krungthai Card Public Company Limited (KTC) is extending its "Debt Clearance 2026" program into 2026, reinforcing its role in promoting responsible borrowing and long-term financial stability. Since its launch, the initiative has enabled more than 6,700 members to fully settle their outstanding debt, with a combined value of approximately 59 million baht.
Beyond short-term relief, the program is designed to encourage sustainable financial behavior by strengthening repayment discipline and responsible credit management among cardholders.
Ms. Phichamon Jitpentham, Head of Personal Loans at KTC, said the company views its members as long-term financial partners and is committed to supporting them through periods of financial stress.
"Rather than focusing solely on short-term assistance, KTC designs programs that help members reset their financial footing and move forward with greater confidence," she said. "We have seen participants regain financial flexibility whether to support their families or to restart and grow small businesses after successfully clearing their debt."
The 2026 edition of the "Debt Clearance" program will cover all KTC PROUD cash cardholders, including KTC P'Berm. Participants will have the opportunity to win full debt clearance for 12 winners, while 588 additional winners will receive debt relief of 10%. In total, 600 prizes will be awarded, with a combined value exceeding 9.69 million baht.
Eligibility is divided into two categories.
Under the "Good Usage" category, members earn one entry for every 2,000 baht in eligible transactions, including card spending, transfers, cash withdrawals or instalment payments, provided the outstanding balance remains for at least 15 consecutive days. There is no limit on the number of entries. Participants must also pay at least the minimum amount due and settle payments by the due date.
The "Good Payment" category applies to members who consistently make on-time payments of at least the minimum amount due. Eligible members in this group receive one entry per draw cycle, provided they do not qualify under the "Good Usage" category.
Ms. Phichamon added that combining tangible incentives with a clear emphasis on financial discipline can help members manage debt more effectively, while contributing to greater financial resilience among Thai households overall.
