Bangkok--28 Aug--AirAsia AirAsia has joined hands with JSL Global Media’s television program “Proud” to provide an exclusive chartered trip on one of its brand new airplanes for the show’s fans and a selection of guests from various industries, totaling over 100 people, on the airline’s newest route “Bangkok-Mandalay (Myanmar)”, allowing them to see the city’s glorious Mandalay Palace, pray at the Mahamuni Buddha statue and cruise along the Irrawaddy River with the exclusive guidance of “Ajan Paothong Thongjua” this 2-5 September. Mr. Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia, spoke of the trip, saying AirAsia will begin providing 4 flights per week from Bangkok-Mandalay (Myanmar) starting this 4 October, 2012, creating a quick and convenient link between the two cities. He noted that the addition has created a good opportunity to organize a special trip for the viewers of JSL Global Media’s “Proud”, which airs on Moden Nine TV. AirAsia has chartered a flight of one of its new airplanes to whisk fans of the show on an exclusive tour of Mandalay. The trip will invite its participants to donate funds to the International University of Yangon’s Thai language program as well as the Myanmar Red Cross, making it not only an exchange of enjoyment but also of good relations. “We have been given the privilege of having Aj. Phaothong Thongjua serve as our tour master for this trip. His presence will enrich the journey with his in-depth knowledge of the wonders and faith that built Mandalay into the beautiful destination it is today. It will surely be a trip to remember for the lucky fans of Proud and their fellow travelers” Mr. Tassapon remarked. Mr. Wachara Waw-wuthinan, CEO of JSL Global Media, said that his company and AirAsia have long had a strong alliance and have already organized several exclusive chartered trips, such as the “Happiness Can Fly” trip featured on the program “Surivipa”. He expressed confidence that the trip offered to viewers of “Proud” would be just as special. Proud has invited 50 of its fans to take part in the “Magnificent Journey to a Paradise of Faith” trip alongside “Ple-Chirayadi Thammawit Spencer” host of the “Proud around the World” segment, who will be relaying the experience to the show’s viewers at home. Those interested may still sign up to be part of the “Proud” fan club and receive updates on the magnificent journey. The chosen 50 will travel with AirAsia on the special trip to Mandalay this 2-5 September.
