At a time when wellness travel has never been more crowded, Devasom Khao Lak Beach Resort & Villas is doing something quieter. This April, the award-winning Andaman coast resort launches Sol Circle a new immersive retreat built around one theme, one small group, and the space to actually go deep.The first edition is the Week of Eastern Philosophy: five days drawing on the wisdom traditions of Japan, Thailand, China, and India ikebana, Chado, meditation, Tai Chi by the sea, yoga, kayak and forest bathing, and Himalayan sound bath. Each practice rooted in the same quiet discipline: paying attention, fully, to the present moment.

The Programme
Mindfulness Ikebana and Chado two Japanese practices that turn ordinary acts into meditation through complete attention. Both sessions are led by Tanawat Wongchaleaw, founder of Midorikai Thailand, certified by the Urasenke school of tea ceremony and the Ikenobo school of Ikebana, with over fifteen years of dedicated practice. Based in Kyoto, he has dedicated his work to sharing Japanese cultural traditions not as technique, but as a practice of presence and intention.
Movement Hatha Yoga, Tai Chi by the Sea, and a Kayak & Forest Bathing session rooted in the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku immersion in the natural environment as a form of restoration.Resonance Two forms of sound bath using Himalayan singing bowls, working through vibration to guide the body from alertness into deep rest.
The Sol Circle Stay
Guests may book The Sol Circle Stay a retreat package that includes, for two guests, one complimentary workshop of their choice from Chado, Ikebana, Tai Chi by the Sea, Aqua Sound Bath, or Kayak & Forest Bathing. The package also includes access to the resort's full daily wellness programme yoga, Muay Thai, sound bath, mindfulness, and more along with 20% off spa treatments and 10% off dining. Additional workshops may be added individually at THB 1,500 per person.
