The Living Room, Bangkok’s premier live jazz venue, brings you the very best of creative and traditional jazz. Throughout September and October, the intimate lounge bar hosts an outstanding line-up of extraordinary international musicians.
Every Thursday to Sunday, enjoy a power-packed performance of spontaneous improvisation and thrilling musicianship from the sensational Randy Cannon. Described as “a pianist of formidable gifts, and consistently galvanizing rhythmic sensitivity” by jazz critic Leonard Feather of the Los Angeles Times, Randy Cannon’s performances are nothing short of breathtaking. The masterful pianist’s mesmerizing playing is complemented by Erik Hargrove on drums, a talented American musician who toured the world with the late great James Brown, and by Thailand’s leading bass player, Therdsak Wongvichien. See them perform from September 1 — October 31, every Thursday - Sunday from 21:15 — 24.00 hours.
The Malaysian pianist, Michael Veerapen returns for unforgettable nights of inspired playing. His outstanding performance will be accompanied by the exceptional musicianship of Shawn Kelley on drums and Therdsak Wongvichien on bass. From September 1 — 30, the talented trio will also perform Monday - Wednesday from 18.15 - 20.00 hours and 21.15 - 23.00 hours, and on Thursday - Friday from 18.15 - 20.00 hours. They will also perform at the fabulous Sunday Jazzy Brunch.
The Living Room also welcomes virtuoso pianist, Kerong Chok. A familiar face on the New York and Singapore jazz scene, Kerong’s exquisite playing will be supported by the exceptional musicianship of Shawn Kelly and Therdsak Wongvichien. The renowned Kerong Chok Trio will perform throughout October. See the talented threesome play from September 1 — 30, Monday - Wednesday from 18.15 - 20.00 hours and 21.15 - 23.00 hours, and on Thursday - Friday from 18.15 - 20.00 hours.
