WHA Group Strengthens Thailand's Workforce Capabilities Partners with Mahidol University and ESIE HR Club

WHA Corporation Public Company Limited (WHA Group) reaffirmed its role as a leader and a catalyst for stronger industry-academia collaboration by partnering with Mahidol University and Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Rayong) Human Resources Club (ESIE HR Club), to host a key Roundtable Discussion under the theme "Bridging Industry Needs with Future Workforce Development" at the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate Office (Rayong). The initiative aims to accelerate the upskilling and reskilling of Thailand's workforce to keep pace with rapidly evolving technologies and future industries.

The collaboration was led by Mr. Dispong Pornchanoknart, Vice President - Human Resources, WHA Group; Professor Dr. Naeti Suksomboon, Vice President for Education, Mahidol University; and Mr. Suthep Puisalee, President of ESIE HR Club. Together, they explored the real needs of the labor market across three key dimensions to help close the skills gap by focusing on workforce development in digital technologies, automation, and artificial intelligence (AI) through intensive courses and practical training programs that equip participants with immediately applicable skills.

This exclusive roundtable reflects WHA Group's strong commitment to Human Progress through tangible human capital development. WHA Group recognizes that, in a world increasingly driven by advanced technologies, serving as a connector between "talent providers" (the education sector) and "talent users" (the industrial sector) is essential to developing a highly competent workforce, which forms the foundation for enhancing the nation's competitiveness.

On this occasion, WHA Group also led a delegation of executives from Mahidol University on a site visit to BYD Auto (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a global leader in the electric vehicle industry located in WHA Rayong 36 Industrial Estate. The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Wu Changqiao, Government Affairs Executive - President Office, who shared insights and exchanged views on workforce skill requirements within actual production lines. The information gathered will contribute to the development of curricula that effectively support the country's new economic pillars and future industries.

WHA Group firmly believes that people are at the heart of national development. Investing in the capabilities of the Thai workforce today will lay a strong foundation for enhancing the country's competitiveness and achieving sustainable growth. This commitment is in line with the company's aspiration under the concept of "WHA: Shape the Future for Thailand"creating opportunities, improving people's quality of life, and working together to build a sustainable future for Thailand on the global stage.
