Bangkok--7 Sep--Hotel Muse Bangkok
Hotel Muse Bangkok’s prohibition-era The Speakeasy throws open its doors to clandestine bootleggers as they fill a bathtub full of booze!
Every Wednesday from November until December 2012, the bootleggers are coming to town . . . along with Al Capone, the mafia heavies and some very well-dressed Speakeasy regulars! When alcoholic fun and games are off the table and ruled illegal, the party goes underground. Welcome to Bangkok’s only prohibition-era swing club — The Speakeasy!
Step right up to the claw-foot bathtub and stake a claim on whichever unmarked jar feels right; then rock all night to period jazz and fusion electronica, safe in the knowledge that the intoxicating smell of illegal booze is masked by some evocative rum-based cocktail scents - Mai Tai, Rum Keg, Capirihna, Caprioska, Mojito, Daiquiri, and much more… served every which way. Cocktails are priced at 600 Baht nett for the “Bathtub Free Flow (for the first hour), and then 50% off for the next two, three or four hours (300 Baht nett). A la carte Bathtub Cocktails cost 200 Baht net each, for mafia middleweights.
Make the most of the food too! Choose any four dishes from the tapas menu to customise your own platter, at 600 Baht nett, before that’s deemed illegal also. Birthday and groups of 4 or more gets 10% discount off the total bill. The Speakeasy’s “A tribute to bootleggers” special promotion is available every Wednesday throughout November and December 2012; the perfect alcoholic build-up and dress-up on the countdown to Christmas.
