SOAR Ocean Club, a new 1,730 sqm floating ocean club opening this November, has arrived at its home on Thailand's Eastern Riviera, after completing The First Glide, its one-off journey from Bangkok.
SOAR departed Bangkok on the evening of 11 September before travelling down the Chao Phraya River and along Thailand's Eastern Seaboard. Its arrival off the coast near Ban Amphur and Bang Saray on 12 September marks a major milestone for the project as the floating venue moves into its final preparation phase ahead of opening to the public.
Purpose-built in the distinctive form of a manta ray, SOAR will accommodate over 600 guests. Conceived as a new kind of ocean club experience, it will bring together design, dining, music and hospitality with the freedom and energy of life on the water, creating a Playfully Luxurious experience that moves from day to night.
With SOAR now in position, guests are planned to board at Ocean Marina for a short speedboat trip to the ocean club once fully operational.
Paul Dibbayawan, CEO/Owner Representative of SOAR Ocean Club, said: "The First Glide was an important moment for SOAR, the journey that brought it from where it was created to the place it will call home.
"Seeing SOAR arrive on Thailand's Eastern Riviera brings the vision another step closer to becoming a reality. Our focus now turns to completing the final preparations before our SOAR tenders bring the first guests to welcome them onboard in November."
Final work will continue onboard over the coming weeks. Further details about the venue will be announced soon.
