Bangkok--11 Sep--Association of Printing Material Trade
GASMA Print 2012 is successful and several producers of famous brands around the world and both Thai and international printing houses have fully reserved 3,000 square metres of exhibition space.
The success is because prices of exhibition booths and living costs in Thailand are cheap and the fair has been boosted by Drupa 2012. At the same time, delegates from Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia have already confirmed to visit the printing trade fair, which is said to help augment Thailand’s positioning as the printing hub for Asean.
The GASMA Print 2012 is scheduled to organize during September 19-22,2012, at Bitec for printing machine and material manufacturers and suppliers both in Thailand and overseas.
Mr Chaiwath Harnsomwong, vice-president of the Association of Printing Material Trade, who is chairman of the organizing of GASMA Print 2012,said the response from exhibitors is better-than-expected with 200 product producers deciding to exhibit their products and technologies at the fair. More than 20,000 representatives from printing houses will visit the fair.
Meanwhile, the overwhelming response to participate at the fair as exhibitors stems from low booth prices when compared to the printing trade fairs in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Indonesia as well as China and Japan. Average booth prices are 50,000 baht per booth while the similar fairs in other countries will charge exhibitors more than 70,000 baht. Most exhibitors will have to take more than 10 booths and their other expenses on transportation, booth decoration, accommodations and staff allowance are higher. So, the cost of exhibition booth in Thailand is considerably lower with better business return.
Currently, 20,000 visitors from 5,000 printing houses in Thailand are expected to visit the GASMA Print 2012. After the road shows in Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia, delegates and visitors from printing industry in these countries showed their attention to visit the fair.Recently, many of them confirmed their visits because they want to see new printing technology in Thailand.
The popularity of GASMA Print 2012 got boosted by the Drupa 2012, the world's largest printing equipment exhbition organized in D?sseldorf,Germany in May. Drupa 2012 showcased printing innovations and technologies and those who missed Drupa will be able to see most of new technologies at GASMA Print 2012.
These new printing innovations and technologies will come to display at GASMA Print 2012 as the Thai printing trade fair is popular in Asia and the opportunity for Thailand to become the printing hub is not far from reality.
