POKPOK will hold a nine-day Oktoberfest-inspired event on the banks of the Chao Phraya River from Oct 24 to Nov 1, as the food delivery company explores a new way to bring customers together.
Founder and chief executive Natthaphong Jaravijit said PokPok Oktoberfest 2026, themed "A New Tradition Begins", will take place at The 71 Venue. The event will draw on the atmosphere of Munich's Oktoberfest, with Bavarian-style decorations, communal tables, live music, games and activities throughout the day.

More than 50 booths will offer German and international food and drinks across an indoor hall and an outdoor riverside area. The event will cater to individual visitors, families and groups, with table bookings available for organisations.
Mr. Natthapong said POKPOK has held talks with the German Alumni Association under Royal Patronage (VTD) and the Thai-German Cultural Foundation (TDKS) about incorporating German cultural elements into the festival. The company is also seeking to invite a representative of the German embassy in Thailand to the opening ceremony and is discussing support with other potential partners.
The festival marks a shift for POKPOK, which built its business by bringing food to customers. This time, Mr Natthaphong said, the company wants to create a place where people come together, with food still playing a central role.
POKPOK began during the Covid-19 pandemic in response to high delivery fees. Mr Natthaphong said customers often wanted food from a wider range of restaurants, including those farther away, but were deterred by the cost of delivery. His solution combined the Thai rot phumphuang, or mobile grocery truck, with elements of a food court and a delivery service: collecting meals from several restaurants and delivering them to customers along the same route to spread the transport cost.
"POKPOK started with a simple idea: we wanted more choice in what we ate without paying high delivery fees," he said. "We began with that customer need and developed it into a business model."
The company expanded from a handful of vehicles to seven in less than a year, then to 11 serving 16 routes. It now operates about 50 vehicles. Mr NatthaphongGerman Alumni Association under Royal Patronage (VTD) said POKPOK recorded combined sales of more than 100 million baht in 2024 and 2025.
He said the Oktoberfest event was an opportunity to take the brand into a new setting. POKPOK hopes to develop it into an annual festival.
