DHL, the world’s leading international express services provider, has won the Express Operator of the Year award at the Payload Asia Awards 2012, organized by Payload Asia magazine. Readers of Payload Asia magazine and a panel of experts have bestowed this accolade on DHL for its commitment and dedication to providing customers with the best-in-class end-to-end express and logistics solutions. DHL received the award at a ceremony held yesterday evening at the Pan Pacific Singapore.
The criteria for the Express Operator of the Year award takes into account customer growth and development strategy, operational performance in year 2011 and customer service and product innovations. DHL's award win demonstrates that customers clearly associate the company with attributes that are of utmost importance to them - service excellence, extensive network, quality management as well as DHL’s ability to deliver customized logistics solutions to address the needs of the customer.
“It is a great honor to receive this award as it reflects the confidence our customers have in our products and services and the value-add we provide to their business,” said Jerry Hsu, CEO, DHL Express Asia Pacific. “At DHL, we see our role as facilitators of trade and will continue to work with our customers to ensure that they continue to receive the seamless and exceptional service that they have come to expect of us.”
The annual awards ceremony is organized by Payload Asia magazine, a regional publication that provides accurate and up-to-date news and information on the air cargo industry and related sector. The top three finalists for each of the 16 awards were selected by an independent judging panel. This was followed by a vote cast by readers to determine the winners in each of the categories.
This latest award further attests to DHL’s leadership position in the industry, having also received a string of awards this year. It won Best Express Operator, Best Logistics Service Provider — Air Freight and Best 3PL at the 2012 Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards (AFSCA). Additionally, DHL also was presented with the Gold Award in the “Airfreight/Courier Service” category at the highly acclaimed Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Awards 2012 in Asia.
