Mr. Nava Chantanasurakhon, Vice President, Public Affairs and Social Responsibility Division of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc. (SSI), as a Sahaviriya Group representative, and Sahaviriya’s executives joined a bicycle ride trip in “Two Wheels Preserve Bangsaphan” or “Bangsaphan Car Free Day 2012” on Sunday, September 23rd 2012 which was the second consecutive year. There were 365 cyclists went cycling around Bangsaphan town. At the same time, Bangsaphan people joined hands in stopping using motorized vehicles for 30 minutes from 8.00-8.30 AM. This activity helped reduce 4.51 tons of carbon dioxide emission approximately. Moreover, Spiderman, a member of Cycling Superheroes, also participated in the cycling.
After this event, 30 cyclists rode bicycles to Wat Tham Kiriwong , Thongchai Sub-District, Bangsaphan to plant 85 trees in celebration of the 85th birthday of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
