Recently, Research in Motion (RIM) launched a new brand campaign around the concept “Action Starts Here” by showcasing the strengths of BlackBerry as a brand that supports individuals to get things done. At an event in Bangkok this month, Siripat Patrangul, Marketing Director for Thailand, RIM, explained the campaign further.
“BlackBerry is for those who want more than just a smartphone. It’s for people of action who put more into life to get more out of it. No matter what the action is, it starts here with a BlackBerry,” said Siripat.
RIM has developed a full consumer communications campaign around the “Action Starts Here” campaign. From print advertisements to retail elements, a digital campaign, social engagement and a unique TV commercial, the message is clear that BlackBerry is a brand for the people of action.
“Various characters in the ‘Action Starts Here’ television commercial represent different groups of people in society. They are people of action who have different goals in life. No matter what their goals are, everyone wants to attain their dreams and BlackBerry will be the device that helps them achieve their goals,” Siripat added.
