Dr. Pitaya Pookaman, Assistant to Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, presented the “Excellent Organization by Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) Standard 2012” from the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, to Mr. Chalerm Boontearb, Vice President Manufacturing, Thai Cold Rolled Steel Sheet Public Company Limited. (TCRSS).Dr. Krisana Choeypun, Director Regional Environmental Office 8, as an honour guest, congratulated TCRSS. The event took place at Wayapak 5-6 Centra Hotel, Convention Centre Chaeng Watthana, Bangkok on 26 September 2012.
The EIA Monitoring 2011 was held to motivate and honour organizations or projects that follow the excellent policy to be a role model for everyone and to publicize the importance of protecting and reducing impact for the environment. There were more than 4,000 projects over the country joining the assessment, but there were only 62 projects received the award.
