BSO 30th Anniversary Celebration was one of a good gathering since music lovers and ballroom dancers with hearts for good causes came together at ‘Grand Symphony Ball’, the dancing concert. The event was organized by Dr. Sukum Navapan, Chairman of Board of Directors of Bangkok Symphony Orchestra Foundation (BSOF) under The Royal Patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn at Grand Ballroom, Shangri-La Hotel.
Proceeds earning from the event was 11,800,000.- Baht and its part will go to support the Chitralada Vocational School project and The Princess Mother’s Charities Fund of Thailand under the patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
The celebration was well attended and lasted till midnight. Many distinguished guests including Khunying Kingkaew Uathavikul, Khunying Sasima Srivikorn, Khunying Jawaratana Tejavej, Khunying Dhipavadee Meksawan, Harald Link, Dr. Amnuay Viravan, Nunthinee Tanner, Burin Wongsanguan, Chaiyos and Bunnaporn Eiamamornpan, Gloria Mahadumrongkul, Piyabutr Cholvijarn, Vorachan Vinyaratna, Pimol Srivikorn, Taya Teepsuwan, Somsak Chalachol and many more.
Dr.Sukum Navapan, Chairman of Board of Director of BSOF disclosed ‘almost 30 years, Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (BSO) has continued to promote the classical music with many international renowned artists, conductors and orchestras for around 30 concerts a year. With collaboration and supports our corporate patronages from both government and private sectors including Sukumo Foundation, Boon Rawd Brewery Company Limited, Credit Suisse, Bangkok Hospital Group, Kian Gwan Foundation and many donors, BSO has initiated series of performances to the promotion of classical music within Thailand. BSO aims to bring our music to the orchestra prestige and reputation as Thailand’s cultural ambassador. ’
Warmed-up into the entertaining night before the happiness by BSO, was the performance by Band of Brothers, directed by artistic director Sompan Charumilinda. Then the show was followed by New Vogue dancing show. The night was filled with amazing performances produced by Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (BSO) who brought together a beautiful mix of dances. Highlight of the shows also included the special songs ‘The King & I’ by well-known vocalists Rudklao Amratisha and Saran Kungbunbhot. The final show was ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ by Teeranai Na Nongkai and Kittinant Chinsamran, whom made the joy of listening just like a night at Opera House.
An evening of sheer delighted by the greatest songs and popular melodies musicals of all times which is mainly BSO’s commitment to bring society happiness by music.
