Crest Lux Co., Ltd. announced the official launch of its business in Thailand. Crest Lux is the first company to provide a turn-key leather solution for the local interior design and contracting industries. This has been a major obstacle in providing Thai consumers and businesses with a wide range of interior design options.
“Today Thai contractors, interior designers and developers have no place to turn for top quality Italian leather coupled with the expertise to customize it for specific projects. Crest Lux will correct this shortcoming in the market. We offer the finest leather from our tannery in Vestenanova, Italy along with the ability to offer customized solutions in terms of colors, textures and specific types of leather. For many orders we can have the leather sent from our warehouse in the UK to Thailand within 2-3 days,” said Alessandro Rigoni, Director, Crest Lux Co., Ltd.
CrestLux was created as a result of a partnership between Mr. Sumeth Sukapanpotharam, a noted architect and real estate developer and Crest Leather Group, a global supplier of fine leather with headquarters in the UK and tanneries in Italy, Brazil and Thailand.
“I know from my own experience how difficult it is to obtain good quality leather in terms of color and other key attributes that is made to order. So when I saw what Crest Leather was doing in Europe, I knew there was real potential for the same business model to work in Thailand,” said Sumeth Sukapanpotharam, Director, Crest Lux Co., Ltd.
Crest Lux products include leather for wall and floor coverings, decorative leather and unique leather tiles that can be used to create walls or partitions. The company will also provide consulting services on current trends in leather use in interior design and appropriate leather selections based on proposed use and local conditions. Crest Lux will also offer customized leather and will work with customers to develop exactly the right color and texture to meet their specific needs.
“Crest has a complete leather R&D facility at our tannery in Italy and we have considerable experience creating bespoke leather for international clients. We will now be making this facility and expertise available to Thai designers, contractors and even individuals who truly appreciate the finer things in life,” continued Alessandro.
Thailand represents a significant opportunity for Crest Lux due to the strength of the local real estate market as well as the willingness of Thai people to adopt and adapt new fashion and design ideas from abroad.
The potential for Crest Lux’ business is shown in the size and diversity of the Thai real estate market, especially in central Bangkok and key areas such as Hua Hin, Phuket and Chaing Mai. The many luxury condo and serviced apartments developments along the BTS lines are potential customers as are high end office buildings, hotels and restaurants.
