Last year, there are over 20,000 Thai students studying in Australia and today, many of the alumni from Australia hold senior positions in Thailand. There are more than 16 Australian institutions participating at this year’s OCSC International Education Expo 2012 which will be held on Sat-Sun October 27-28, 2012 from 12 pm to 7 pm on the 5th floor of the Royal Paragon Hall at Siam Paragon Shopping Center. If you are interested in studying in Australia, do not miss the Expo as you will be able to seek advice directly from the universities’ representatives on the education system and living conditions there. The Australian Government’s internationally competitive, merit-based scholarship program, Endeavour Awards, is open for Thai citizens to apply from April - June every year. This scholarship program is open to all fields of study and provides full financial support for international students. From 2007 till now, Australia has provided scholarship to over 91 students — an average of 18 students per year. There are four main types of Endeavour awards: - Endeavour Postgraduate Awards (Masters degree or PhD) - Endeavour Research Awards (Research towards a Master degree or PhD in home country or Postdoctoral research) - Endeavour Vocational Education and Training (VET) Awards (Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree) - Endeavour Executive Awards (Professional Development) You can visit the Australia Embassy booth at the OCSC International Education Expo to find out more about the Endeavour Award.
