Two Best Actors witness the handover of “The 55th Asia Pacific Film Festival” 23 member cities’ delegations will visit Macau To support a “New Era” of Asia Pacific Film Industry
Mr. Eric Tsang Chi-Wai, the Executive Chairman of The 55th Asia Pacific Film Festival Organizing Committee and Mr. Nick Cheung Ka-Fai, The 53rd Asia Pacific Film Festival Best Actor announcing, Macau to be the host city of “The 55th Asia Pacific Film Festival” (APFF). With the theme of “The New Starting Line”, the 55th APFF will take place at The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel, the Grand Sponsor of the film festival, from 13th to 16th December, 2012. The flag of APFF was handed over to Mr. Edward M. Tracy, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sands China Ltd. and Mr. Eric Tsang wishing a great success to create an Asian film grand occasion with full of multi-cultural characteristic of Macau!
The enthusiastic Asia film producer Eric Tsang remarked, “Macau is a great city and it is our honor to host the 55th APFF in Macau. Although Macau is small, its entertainment industry is getting more and more successful. Hope that it can help to promote the entertainment industry of Macau to the world. The theme of the 55th APFF is “The New Starting Line”, which means that APFF will be more international, with new innovation and motivation, like new directors, new actors, new screenplays and powers!”
The 53rd APFF Best Actor (Year : 2009) Nick Cheung said, “I’m glad that the 55th APFF will be held in Macau. It is one of the oldest film festivals. I won the best actor with “The Beast Stalker” in Taiwan on 2009; it is so warm to me that it’s held in Macau this year. I wish that more international film events can be appeared in Asia, and lead the Asia film industry to a new era!”
