AirAsia has held the AIRASIA BIG MOVE BIG FUN RALLY Walk…Run…Fun! Leading 287 teams (861 people) of health lovers on an invigorating trek running from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the Airport Rail Link to the BTS Skytrain to the Chatuchak Train Yard and along a 12.9 kilometer marathon to Don Mueang Airport. The rally was a star studded event, featuring “Kalamare” Patcharasri, “Numam” Suriwipa and Bobby “Kai” Pasit Apinyavat Krit Janepanichakarn and Waen-Waen Pawisara.
Mr. Santisuk Klongchaiya, Thai AirAsia’s Director of Commercial, remarked that the organizing of the AIRASIA BIG MOVE BIG FUN RALLY from Suvarnabhumi to Don Mueang saw a strong response after it was publicized along with AirAsia’s announcement that it would be moving its services to Don Mueang Airport with applicants from among AirAsia’s Facebook friends, general health enthusiasts and families. The total number of participants joining in the fun was 287 teams of 3, or 861 people.
The rally route began at Suvarnabhumi Airport and progressed along the Airport Rail Link (Suvarnabhumi to Phaya Thai), connected to the BTS Skytrain (Phaya Thai to Mo Chit), included an RC hunt game at the Chatuchak Train Yard (Chatuchak Park) and ended with a marathon from the yard, down Vipavadee Road to the finish line at AirAsia’s counter at Terminal 1 of Don Mueang Airport.
Prizes for the rally were divided into 3 categories; “Walk, Run, Fun!” which was divided between men and women and allowed participants to collect points towards a prize and “Dress to the Max as if Everyone Can Fly”, which rewarded participants for their colorful and creative costumes. The prizes included cash, air tickets and stays at Sri Panwa Phuket, all together totaling over 1 million THB.
