Bangkok--6 Dec--Novotel Bangkok Ploenchit Sukhumvit
Novotel Bangkok Ploenchit Sukhumvit recently held the ‘Bring Life Back to the River’ CSR activity or a river clean-up day by collecting the garbage on the Chao Phraya river with its aim to promote cleanliness awareness on the rivers, canals, and other water resources among Thais during Loy Krathong Day festival, celebrating nationwide on 28th November 2012. Participated by the host of hotel management and team members, the activity which ran up the Chao Phraya river for 5 kilometre-distance from Dao Khanong canal to Saphan Phut pier, was part of Accor PLANET 21 program, the 21 commitments made by Accor hotel group worldwide for the well-being of our world. This activity was also the first CSR project called “Miracle of Ploenchit” which runs from November to February 2013. The group were welcomed by Kongpol Tungnittayawong, Cleaning Specialist, Bangkok Department of Environment (4th right).
