**Tan Siew Meng appointed CEO for HSBC Thailand**
**Alastair Bryce appointed CEO for HSBC Mauritius**
HSBC has appointed new CEOs for its Thailand and Mauritius operations. Alastair Bryce, currently Managing Director and global Head of Commercial Banking Coverage, Global Banking and Markets, will succeed Tan Siew Meng as Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Mauritius. Ms Tan will take over as Chief Executive Officer for HSBC Thailand, replacing Matthew Lobner, who will become Head of Strategy for Commercial Banking based in London.
Ms Tan, who will take up her new role on 25 January 2013, subject to regulatory approval, joined HSBC in 2004 in Singapore. She has extensive corporate and investment banking experience at both HSBC and in her previous roles at Citibank, Barclays de Zoete Wedd and DBS Bank. Prior to her current role as Chief Executive Officer for HSBC Mauritius, she was Head of Commercial Banking in Singapore for four years.
Mr Bryce begins his role as Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Mauritius on 15 January 2013. He joined HSBC in 1983 in the UK and has nearly 30 years of experience across a number of businesses and in a variety of markets, including Asia, Latin America and the UK. Some of his roles included Deputy Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Indonesia during 2000-2002, Head of Credit Risk Management for the Group’s Global Banking and Markets function in Asia and global Public Sector Coverage.
