InterContinental Samui Baan Taling Ngam Resort — Koh Samui, Thailand
Resting on a cliff is this private resort in Koh Samui which provides spectacular views of the infamous Five Islands and Angthong National Park. If that is not enticing enough, there are also 7 designer swimming pools, a private beach with jetty and a spa raised 120 metres above sea level. “I was overwhelmed by the beauty of this resort and the quality of the suite. There was nothing I could fault,” commented a TripAdvisor traveller.
Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit — Bangkok, Thailand
This luxury hotel is conveniently located on bustling Sukhimvit Road that is close to the shopping and financial districts of Bangkok. It boasts of great city views and 345 stylish rooms and suites. A TripAdvisor traveller noted, “Hotel is stunning, staff is exemplary and food is outstanding. I was treated like royalty while staying there.”
Dusit Thani Maldives — Baa Atoll, Maldives
This plush 100-villa resort on Mudhdhoo Island offers travellers a relaxing getaway with its white sandy beaches and turquoise lagoon as well as cutting edge restaurants and spa. As one TripAdvisor traveller said, “They managed very well to integrate all the amenities of a luxury resort into the natural appearance of this beautiful Maldivian island.”
InterContinental Danang Resort — Da Nang, Vietnam
Located at the Sontra Peninsula, this resort features beachfront villas with private pools and great restaurants. Golfers are also spoilt for choice with the Montgomerie Links Golf Club and Danang Golf Club. A TripAdvisor traveller said, “The moment you enter through the impressive gate and arrive in the lobby, it feels as if you have entered a different world, and suddenly left reality behind.”

Located in the South Western Atoll of Dhaalu, NIYAMA is situated on the islands of Embudhufushi and Olhuveli. It features 86 pavilions and studios with stunning views of the Indian Ocean. “From the moment you are met at the airport and taken to the special Niyama lounge, the journey of luxury and Niyama quality begins,” said a TripAdvisor traveller.
The Westin Xiamen — Xiamen, China
As the tallest building in Xiamen, this 45-storey hotel contains 304 suites and guest rooms providing a stunning view of Xiamen’s central business district. It has an indoor heated pool, all day dining restaurants and provides easy access to the city’s attractions. According to a TripAdvisor traveller, “Our stay was flawless. Staff is superb, hotel is new and everything is perfectly in order.”
The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa — Nago, Japan
A must-visit for golf fans, this luxurious 97-room hotel is situated within the premises of the Kise Country Club and surrounded by its 18-hole championship course overlooking the ocean. It has plenty of restaurant choices, a fully equipped spa, a fitness studio as well as indoor and outdoor pools. “We travel a lot, and found this Ritz to have the best service around,” commented a TripAdvisor traveller.
“Despite being open for only a year, these hotels have already been making a name for themselves due to their wonderful amenities and excellent service standards,” said Jean Ow-Yeong, TripAdvisor spokesperson. “From what travellers are already saying about them, these new properties are set to continue winning over many guests in years to come.”
