Chulalongkorn University (CU) President Professor Pirom Kamolratanakul, M.D., and Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) president Kannikar Chalitaporn ink a memorandum of agreement on the new SCB-CU Smart Debit Card. Moving toward a cashless society, this smart card innovation combines a CU student ID card, ATM card, and debit card into one single card. With the card SCB plans to further offer total solutions to benefit students and the university, ranging from registration and tuition fee payment, class and activity attendance logs, university goods and services payment, optional MRT pass, and data feeds to CU's central system for database and data processing for the university's further use.
