Bangkok--4 Jan--Vivaldi Public Relations
RMA Group, a world-class provider of automotive and infrastructure solutions to the international Aid & Development community, has partnered with AIDF (Aid and International Development Forum) to deliver Asia’s first AIDF Asia-Pacific. This event, to be held at Impact Muang Thong Thani Bangkok from 30 to 31 January will present a highly significant forum for governments, the United Nations, NGOs (Non-Government Agencies) and relief agencies to build partnerships and share best practices. AIDF Asia-Pacific aims to empower organisations operating in disaster relief programs, post-conflict regeneration activities and infrastructure improvement projects throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
In its role as headline sponsor, RMA Group will display a number of stands at AIDF Asia-Pacific, featuring modified vehicle demonstrators, specialized equipment, infrastructure solutions, video presentations and interactive activities. Representatives of RMA Group will appear as speakers in several workshops and seminars, covering topics which include fleet management, vehicle maintenance, road safety, sustainability, core corporate strategy, and flood prevention, better planning and co-ordination. RMA Group will also employ the use of Ford Motor Company’s new Ford Ranger simulator to raise awareness of driver safety in hazardous terrain.
RMA has been a partner of AIDF for five years, and in bringing the forum to Asia, RMA seeks to improve co-ordination across the region, involve the private sector in Aid & Development (an area with vast potential for corporate entities) and host a platform for NGOs to engage with the private sector free of charge. AIDF Asia-Pacific will complement the established Washington D.C. AIDF event, making Thailand the first country in Asia to have the privilege of hosting the AIDF Asia-Pacific. This reaffirms the country’s status as the leading operational hub in Asia for the development community.
Oscar Davis, Procurement Advisor, RMA Group, said, “There is currently much focus on rebuilding infrastructure and improving coordination in post-disaster and emerging countries in the region. RMA Group is a company offering automotive and infrastructure solutions to clients operating in this market across the world, and we have a long-term strategy of working with countries in reconstruction or growth, such as Cambodia and Myanmar. Our expertise gained through working with the United Nations and many, many NGOs operating in difficult environments ensures RMA has the expertise to really help support Aid & Development activities across Asia. AIDF Asia-Pacific will give us an opportunity to show new partners how we are able to empower their aid, relief and infrastructure development projects, wherever they may be.”
