Sasin will host a HRM seminar to help prepare Thai HRMahead of the AEC

Bangkok--9 Jan--Sasin Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University is organizing a seminar todiscuss the implications of the AEC on Human Resource Management in Thailand in 2015 and beyond. The seminar will help develop Thai Human Resource Managers to meet and exceed world standards. Sasin is organizing this seminar to help contribute to the development of Thailand’s Human Resource Managers. Sasin has invited a number of international HRM professionals to share their experiences and their knowledge of this topic.In addition, Sasin’sinternationally recognized HRM curriculum will be introduced. Dr. Siriyupa Roongrerngsuke, Director and Head of the HRM program of Sasin Graduate Institute of Business administration of Chulalongkorn University (Sasin),and Dr. Sabin Srivannaboon, Assistant Head of Sasin’s HRM Program, will be the moderators of the free seminar, which will take place on the 19th January 2013 from9:00am-11:30am at the SasaPatasala Building. The topic will be“Human Capital Management in Thailand and AEC: Opportunities and Challenges 2015+.” Asthe labor market in Thailand and neighboring countries becomes more internationalized, there should be a proactive move in HRM development to adapt to the forthcoming changes. Sasin has invited experienced HR professionals to speak at the event, including: Mr. Kulshaan Singh, Managing Director — Southeast Asia, AonHewitt, Singapore;KhunPotjanartSeebungkerd, President of the “Jimi the Coach” company; and KhunArtiratCharukitpipat, Chief HR Officer, Bumrungrad International Hospital. The speakers will discuss and make their predictions about the2015+ AEC labor market. Dr. Siriyupa and Dr. Sabin will also introduce Sasin’s HRM curriculum as well as moderate the seminar. The objective is to share HRM trends in Thailand and in ASEAN in regards to overall strategies, recruitment, training and development and discussion of compensation and benefits in Thailand compared with otherASEAN countries. Stressing the need for International HR professionals, the seminar will help aspiring HR managers plan their careersin the HRM field. Dr. Siriyupa and Dr.Sabin will also introduce Sasin’s HRM programs: the 7-month HRM Certificate program, which is now in its 22nd year;and the 18-month HRMMaster’s program, in its 12th year, both of which have classes twice a week.
