Visa and King Power Mark Seven Years of Partnership with Year-Long Exclusive Deals

Bangkok--9 Jan--Spark Communications Deals extended to all King Power stores throughout Thailand; promotions during major shopping seasons in 2013 will help draw tourists in support of TAT’s aim to attract 24.5 million visitors this year Tourists planning to visit Thailand and Thais traveling overseas this year can have an extra reason to cheer and look forward to a series of attractive deals at the Kingdom’s leading duty free stores. To celebrate the seven-year partnership between Visa and King Power, the two leading brands have signed an exclusive agreement that will offer Thai shoppers and foreign travelers special deals for Visa cardholders throughout 2013 at all King Power stores. This latest partnership reaffirms the strong relationship between Visa and King Power. In 2013, the exclusive agreement extends benefits for Visa cardholders to all King Power duty free stores including shopping complexes in Bangkok and Pattaya and at major international airports in Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi International Airport), Phuket and Chiang Mai. In addition to year-long shopping deals, special promotions will also be timed to coincide with travel peak seasons such as the Thai New Year (Songkran) and during the Thailand Grand Sale. For the upcoming Chinese New Year, Visa cardholders who spend THB 5,000 or more at King Power will receive a THB 200 cash voucher. This promotion runs from 15 January to 28 February 2013. TAT recently reported that international tourist arrivals reached 21 million in 2012 and this number is expected to reach 24.5 million in 2013.
