Bangkok--24 Jan--Dusit Thani College
Dusit Thani College in co-operation with Japan’s most prestigious culinary institute, the Tsuji Culinary Institute of Osaka today officially launced their new “Authentic Japanese Cuisine Courses” to the general public and its students. This professional course will be offered to the public from January — May 2013 and to Dusit Thani College’s students majoring in Culinary Arts, starting in the academic year 2013.
The Authentic Japanese Cuisine Courses have been designed by a professional chef from the Tsuji Culinary Institute, Chef Haruaki Matsuoka, who is originally from Japan. The main aim of the courses are to share methods of preparing original and traditional Japanese cuisine, with those who want to experience both cooking demonstrations and practice of each of the 60 authentic Japanese recipes. The highest quality is assured from these two institutes, with all learning materials having been carefully designed to suit the market needs in Thailand. Brand new specialist kitchen facilities, designed exclusively for preparing Japanese cuisine, have been constructed at Dusit Thani College.
Ms. Veera Pardpattanapanich, Rector of Dusit Thani College, added that all students will have the chance to take a journey into the heart of great Japanese culinary traditions and learn cooking techniques such as making soup, slicing, grilling, simmering and steaming, using a wide range of foods including noodles and sushi.
“The Tsuji Culinary Institute is the largest professional culinary school in Japan which offers intensive courses in Japanese, French, Italian and Chinese cooking, as well as in confectionary. The institute was founded in Osaka in 1960, and since then over 125,000 students have graduated from the Tsuji Group, thus contributing to Japan’s culinary and confectionary recognition throughout the world. Having said that, we are confident in bringing together the strengths of both institutions, in order to be ‘on the cutting edge’ of learning Japanese cuisine in Thailand.
