Congratulations to Miss Weerawan Laoniramai, College of Management Mahidol University (CMMU) Financial Management graduate, and her advisor Dr. Nareerat Taechapiroontong, Program Chair of Financial Management at CMMU, for winning two excellence awards from the Capital Market Research Institute (CMRI), the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET): “the 1st Prize of the 2012 Capital Market Research Scholarship for Master’s Level” and “the Thai Capital Market Entrepreneur’s Choice Award 2012”.
The CMRI awards and research grants, aiming at promoting high-quality capital market research, were presented to. Ms. Weerawan Laoniramai and her advisor Dr. Nareerat Taechapiroontong by Mr. Charamporn Jotikasthira, President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand during the award ceremony held at Professor Sangwien Intarawichai Conference Room, SET Building, on January 15, 2013 as part of the CMRI Capital Market Forum.
Ms. Weerawan Laoniramai’s research paper, winning the two excellence awards, was titled “Insider Trading Behavior and News Announcement: Evidence from the Stock Exchange of Thailand”.
