Thamsathit Chamsri, Managing Director of River City Shopping Center, said that in traditional Chinese culture the lions are seen as peaceful creatures and widely considered as divine animals of nobility and dignity. To the Thai-Chinese people, the lion is an auspicious creature. On auspicious occasions, the lion dance will be performed in the hope to bring fortune and luck to the people. Chinese people believe that those who see the lion dance performance will get lucky and enjoy great prosperity.
