Anantara Phuket Villas, led by Justin Pitt, Executive Assistant Manager (Back row, third from left) recently hosted the Roy E. Heinecke Scholarship Foundation presentation event at Sarasin Boardroom, Anantara Phuket Villas. This year, students from four schools in the Mai Khao area, including Baan Mai Khao School, Tha Chat Chai School, Baan Kor Ann School and Hong Yok Bamrung School, were the proud recipients.
The Roy E. Scholarship Foundation is an educational fund established in 1994 in memory of Mr. Roy E. Heinecke, the father of Mr. William E. Heinecke, CEO of Minor International. The foundation is financially supported by the Heinecke family, and each year presents scholarships to 50 students to help support their education from early learning stages right through to graduation. The late Mr. Roy E. Heinecke spent many years serving the U.S. Embassy in the Asia-Pacific region. Inspired by his exposure to cultural diversity, he wished for all deserving youngsters to benefit from the advantages of a good education. Hence the Heinecke family established this scholarship fund to fulfill this worthy wish.
