Winner Group Enterprise Co., Ltd., importer and distributor of food products and food ingredients for Industrial used, food service and retail consumer for over thirty years, is celebrating successful sales growth of over Baht 1.4 billion last year. Today, the Winner Group is ready to launch a marketing plan with modified strategies for handling domestic and overseas markets in addition to the upcoming AEC. The company expects to grow the business by 20% in 2013 and be ready to go on Public by year end. Long-term, the company expects to achieve growth in leaps and bounds.
Mr. Jane Wongisariyakul, President and Managing Director of Winner Group Enterprise Co., Ltd., states, “We have been in the food business and part of Thai food industry for long time. In the early days, we imported raw materials and ingredients for the food industry. Later, we expanded into the consumer product market selling through food service and supermarket which enable us to have direct contact with consumers. This year we are planning to expand our factory and double the capacity to meet the demands of the business sector and support both domestic and export markets. This expansion is aimed at preparing for the upcoming AEC in 2015 and part of our plans to enter foreign markets like Vietnam, Myanmar and Laos. Economic of those countries are growing strongly especially in the food industry, thus opportunities and demand for food raw materials are abundant. We are confident that our business will be growing continuously. We target to achieve growth rate of not less than 20% this year and even much higher for years to come. Once the process of lisitng into Stock Exchange completed this year end, I am sure the Winner Group will become Thailand’s industry leader.”
Miss Kanokphan Kriangkraikritsada, Deputy Managing Director, Winner Group Enterprise Co., Ltd. states, “Initially, Winner Group business was like roots and upstream of the domestic food industry. It was almost every food products in Thailand contained at least one ingredient supplied by us. We selected quality raw materials, imported from the best source to meet customer demands and help improving quality and standards of Thai food-industry to keep up with other countries. We have grown and expanded our business to cover all channels of the food industry from manufacturing factories to food services to retail channels. We imported raw materials as the start-up ingredients for foods, such as potato starch, modified starch, wheat flour and gluten, icing sugar, sweetener, cocoa powder, pasta, olive oil, food chemicals as well as consumer products, such as “Pop Secret” microwave popcorn, Nature Valley granola bars, Betty Crocker instant bakery flour, Streamline jam and Harvey Fresh fruit juices.”
“This year we plan to increase our product lines by importing more premium packaged foods targeting to high income people and expatriates working in Thailand whom seeking quality products from abroad. This growing trend can be seen from the growth of these groups in Bangkok, major cities such as Phuket, Chiang Mai. Furthermore we will introduce products for mass market to penetrate into larger consumer base under Winner Group’s own brand. Last year, we expanded into food service business to directly connected with the consumers by opening two branches of premium coffee chain under the name “Delice” at Park Lane on Ekamai road and the Promenade Shopping Center as part of Winner Group Business expansion plan.”
Miss Kanokphan also states, “We have been regularly developing the market, expanding customer groups and our production base to support the market persist in good products and good services as evident in the growth over the past thirty years of our business operations. In approaching today’s market, we have adjusted our strategies and marketing plans to become strong and sustainable business in the future.Part of the plan is to create products under “Winner Group” that will stay and grow with Thai consumers like a family. For 2013, we set up a total marketing budget of 140 million Baht focusing on food service channel and industrial end-users with particular emphasis on technical services, introduction of new technology and innovations in foods products. Set aside budget for supporting consumer products business through retail channels both Modern Trade and General Trade. We will be doing both above-the line and below-the-line activities through various advertising programs, PR and marketing activities focusing on building confidence, good image of Winner Group’s brand among consumers.
