Bangkok--7 Feb--The St. Regis Bangkok
In the spirit of the colourful Italian tradition of Venetian Carnival, Chef Carlo Valenziano has hand crafted a special menu showcasing authentic Venetian flavours and style, whilst singers entertain with music at Jojo of The St. Regis Bangkok from February 4 till 25, 2013.
The Venetian Carnival is the oldest annual festival in Italy first held in Venice in the 11th century, most famous for its distinctive masks, elaborate costumes and dramatic shows. The festival starts two weeks before Christian holy day of Ash Wednesday and ends on Shrove Tuesday (Fat Tuesday). The Venetian Carnival fell into decline during the 18th century and was revived in 1979 with great success. One of the most important events is the contest for the best mask, placed at the last weekend of the Carnival.
Chef Carlo Valenziano at Jojo has created exclusive Venetian a la carte options start from Baht 450++. Experience traditional Venetian dishes including Baccal? mousse, dried salted cod fish mousse served with deep fried baby grey prawns, grilled marinated cuttlefish; scrumptious Tagliolini crab with Asparagus and egg yolk dust; Black ink Venetian risotto freshly cooked with cuttlefish, black ink sauce and Aquerello rice; savory Oven baked duck breast served with artichoke confit and crispy red cabbage; Seared tuna loin with “Saor” onions, raisins, pine nuts, green pea cream; and Frittelle e galani with zabaglione a typical Venetian doughnut and Italian light “Recioto” custard.
As an added festive touch, we invite you to appreciate the opulent Venetian Opera Performances on every Thursday to Saturday throughout the promotional period.
