Ms Charuwat Boossamalee (2nd row — far right), Project Development Director to the Education for Development Foundation or EDF recently organised the meeting to 2,010 teachers from 20 provinces in the Northeast region. The meeting was aimed at providing the information on EDF’s policy, the criteria on how to recruit needy students for scholarships for school year 2013, as well as the advice on how to use specially designed online application system to save time and expenses from conventional procedure by sending all relevant educational documents via the registered mail.
Established for more than 25 years EDF Thailand has so far sent to schools 307,436 indigent Thai students from a total donation of US$15.2 million (Baht 472 million) from more than 160,000 donors. For school year 2013 there are 8,790 needy students, who wish to obtain educational scholarships.
