February 12, 2013. From February 13 - 16 and 20 - 23, the extraordinary jazz singer Cherryl Hayes will perform at The Living Room with The Randy Cannon Group.
Cherryl is a highly accomplished, vibrant jazz vocalist with an enchanting voice and sophisticated style. A skilled interpreter of the jazz greats including Sarah Vaughn, Billie Holiday, and Ella Fitzgerald, Cherryl’s commanding stage presence and versatility makes her a joy to watch. Cherryl has performed in the United States, Europe, and Asia. She currently teaches jazz vocals to music students at Bangkok’s renowned Mahidol University.
Cherryl’s inspiring performance will be complemented by The Randy Cannon Group. Masterful pianist, Randy was been described as “a pianist of formidable gifts and consistently galvanizing rhythmic sensitivity” by jazz critic Leonard Feather of the Los Angeles Times. His sensational group features his brother, the internationally acclaimed trumpeter, Steven Cannon, Erik Hargrove on drums, a talented American musician who toured the world with the late great James Brown, and Thailand’s leading bass player, Therdsak Wongvichien.
