Like finding a jewel in the sands of a glorious beach, this month’s organic chicken promotion “Produits du Terroir” at Scarlett wine bar & restaurant in Pullman Bangkok Hotel G offers a rare delicacy not often enjoyed in the modern world. Coming all the way from South Western France, the home of Foie Gras, and the tiny village of Brassempouy, with its merely 300 inhabitants, organic chicken will find its way into the stomachs and hearts of Scarlett’s guests this 27th February till 2nd March 2013.
The Dandieu family has been raising poultry for over 80 years and in the 70s, chicken became the main work of the farm, amongst the other produce, today numbering between 25,000 and 26,000 yearly and including guinea fowls, geese from Guinea, and capons. However, the star product remains the chicken. And despite the cutting-edge technology involved, the company has successfully grown while working within time honoured traditions and experienced methods, thus keeping the famed quality of the Dandieu family’s products and passion for pure tastes.
During this promotion, guests will have a chance to meet Mr. Olivier Dominique Dandieu and sink their teeth into those flavourful tastes with dishes like Poulet Rotissoire, famous Coq au Vin, Roulade de Poulet Farci and more, including other scrumptious poultry offerings such as Roulade de Pintade Farci Forestiere, Canette de Barbarie and a few too many other delights to mention here.
In fact, if you ask real nicely, Scarlett will even let you take home a taste of these organic stellar products and will have for sale Duck Foie Gras Pate, Duck Breast Stuffed, Duck Legs Comfits and Pate Chalossais—just to remind everyone of what the good life is always about.
