Best Western International — the World’s Largest Hotel Chain? — has announced the latest phase of its Indonesian expansion, with the launch of its first hotel in the city of Semarang, Central Java.
The newly-built BEST WESTERN Star Hotel is located in the centre of Semarang's business district, within each reach of government offices and corporate offices. At 28 stories, the hotel has become a gleaming new landmark on Semarang skyline, and offers a range of rooms and facilities catering to the increasing number of visitors to this up-and-coming business hub.
The hotel's 258 modern rooms and suites offer a range of amenities including wall-mounted HD LCD televisions, Blu-Ray DVD players and MP3 alarm clock radios, while some rooms also come with microwaves and mini fridges. Rooms offer views of either the city or the Java Sea, and as with all Best Western hotels, Wi-Fi is complimentary in all guest rooms.
BEST WESTERN Star Hotel will also become a new entertainment hub in the city, with the rooftop sky pool bar offering spectacular views and a chilled-out venue for evening cocktails and snacks. For a
more formal dining experience, the second floor Prima Restaurant serves local and international cuisine.
The hotel also offers extensive conference and banqueting space, with nine separate meeting rooms covering more than 620m?. The largest - the Catleya Ballroom - can hold 180 guests.

Best Western International is on track to more than quadruple its portfolio in Indonesia over the next three years.
