Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok presents an opera dinner at Angelini Restaurant and Bar. Available on 8, 15 and 22 March 2013, the Opera Night costs 1,800 baht net per person.
Diners can savour Chef Omar Ugoletti’s special five-course gourmet Italian dinner while enjoying the operatic experience from the brightest opera stars of Thailand who serenade guests, between courses, with Mozart, Strauss, Rossini, Donizetti, and Leh?r, as well as songs from Les Mis?rables, Cats, Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma and The Phantom of the Opera.
Chef Ugoletti's five-course opera menu comprises:
- Amuse Bouche of potato foam with truffle
- Crema di cipolla con dentice avvolto in spaghetti di patate
(Cream of onion with red snapper wrapped in spaghetti of potatoes)
- Pappardelle con asparago, porcini e prosciutto di parma
(Home-made pappardelle with asparagus, porcini mushroom andParma ham)
Intermezzo of citrus granite
- Spigola in crosta di patata , pendolini, porcini e salsa allo zenero
(Pan-fried sea bass in potato crust, cherry tomato, porcini mushroomand ginger sauce)
