THAILAND: OXFORD BUSINESS GROUP APPOINTS NEW TEAM FOR FORTHCOMING REPORT
2014 publication to put country’s education and healthcare projects under microscope
Oxford Business Group (OBG), the global publishing, research and consultancy firm, has appointed a new team to lead its operations in Thailand as work gets under way in the country on its forthcoming project. The Report: Thailand 2014 will be produced with research assistance from Board of Investment (BOI).
Mariana Brilhante takes on the role of Country Director, working alongside Brett Twaits who is the Group’s new Editorial Manager in Thailand. The appointment marks a promotion for Brilhante, who previously worked as OBG’s Project Director in Oman, while Twaits comes across from Oman where he was the Group’s Editorial Manager on the most recent report. Before their move to the sultanate, Brilhante and Twaits worked together on OBG’s Abu Dhabi project, securing interviews with leading international personalities and representatives, including the former Prime Minister of the UK Tony Blair and the former secretary-general of the UN, Kofi Annan.
OBG’s Regional Director in Thailand Laura Herrero said she was delighted to have Brilhante and Twaits on board for the Group’s new project which is expected to assess the country’s efforts to carve out a niche for itself as a regional education and healthcare hub, while exploring the key role that healthy domestic demand is playing in driving growth.
“I am confident that the expertise and experience Mariana and Brett have gained with OBG while researching emerging economies will prove highly valuable as we begin work on this exciting new project,” she said.
The Report: Thailand 2014 will mark the culmination of more than six months of on-the-ground research. It will provide information on opportunities for foreign direct investment into Thailand’s economy and will be a guide to the many facets of the country, including its macroeconomics, infrastructure, banking and sectoral developments. The Report: Thailand 2014 will be available in print form or online.
