This spring is a seasonal affair at Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa’s Italian restaurant Brio, with a special ? la carte menu inspired by Italy’s finest artichokes, available from 11 March — 21 April 2013 for both lunch and dinner.
Brio is the only Italian restaurant in the Thonburi area of Bangkok, and is renowned for transporting diners into the heart and soul of Italy. Translating as “a homely and lively place”, Brio embraces the warmth and energy of the Italian way of life wholeheartedly, and is invitingly designed to reflect the rustic charm of a Tuscan villa. The emphasis on elegant authenticity is also evident in its culinary offering of trusted age old recipes and innovative creations, which are hand crafted from the freshest ingredients and finest imported Italian delicacies.
The Italian Artichokes Menu pays tribute to the Roman artichoke “Carciofo Romanesco”, which only grows from late February to early May and is one of the most appreciated varieties out of over 50 types found in Italy.
The seasonal menu comprises four irresistible dishes, each infused with sought after seafood. Sample “A salad of Italian braised artichokes dressed in their own cooking liquor, with crisp parma ham and king prawn” prices THB 880++. Tantalise the taste buds with “A rich velvet veloute from Roman artichokes, calamari and squid ink, finished with a few drops of lemon oil” prices THB 400++. Indulge in the “Carnaroli risotto with parmesan and artichokes, a lightly seared langoustine tail with cherry tomato confit and blood orange” prices THB 1,120++, or enjoy a refined dish of “The finest Maine lobster poached in shellfish broth, scented with fresh ginger, oyster leaf and hand pressed lobster oil” prices THB 1,650++.
The Italian Artichoke Menu will be served daily at Brio restaurant for both lunch (11:30 am — 2:30 pm) and dinner (6:00 pm — 10:30 pm).
