Qualcomm Appoints Suwit Pruckwattananon as Country Manager for Thailand and Myanmar

Bangkok--15 Mar--Azaim Burson-Marsteller Qualcomm Incorporated today announced the appointment of Suwit Pruckwattananon as Country Manager for Thailand and Myanmar, where he will oversee the execution of Qualcomm’s business and strategies and strengthen the Company’s presence in both countries. In Thailand, Suwit will work to further deepen Qualcomm’s collaboration with local operators, OEMs and distributors and empower them to capitalize on the country’s evolving telecom ecosystem. As an advocate of 3G, Suwit will also serve as a source of information on the significant benefits that the technology can provide to Thailand in terms of economic growth and improvements in the quality of life. In Myanmar, Suwit will leverage his expertise to assist Qualcomm’s 3G ecosystem participants in devising business growth strategies and optimizing network solutions. This will support the country’s telecom development and bring the benefits of 3G to the local community. Suwit brings to Qualcomm more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. His most recent appointment was with Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) where he served as Head of Service Delivery in Asia’s North Sub-region (covering Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Bangladesh). Prior to this, Suwit served as Head of the Customer Team, managing NSN’s sales and the profitability of its mobile network infrastructure business with major operators in Thailand. With a combined population of 125 million people, Thailand and Myanmar are important opportunities for Qualcomm. The development of the mobile industry in these countries holds the potential to enhance the socioeconomic conditions of many local people.
