Mr. Zhang Yiming, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, invited his business partners, including Mr. Sutham Phanthusak, Mr. Surachai Chotjurangkool, Ms. Rapeepan Luangaramrut and Ms. Alisa Phanthusak, to experience a special “Qufu’s famed Kong Family Cuisine” dinner at Shang Palace, Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok recently. The elaborate cuisine was created by four Lu chefs from the new Shangri-La Hotel, Qufu who journeyed to Bangkok ahead of the hotel's opening.
Guests were welcomed on arrival at the restaurant by Mr. Kieran Twomey, General Manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok.
Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts will open Shangri-La Hotel, Qufu in early 2013. Located in Qufu’s city centre, the 325-room hotel will be the first international property operating in the hometown of famous Chinese philosopher Confucius, who was born in 551 BC. The hotel is within walking distance to the Temple of Confucius — a UNESCO world heritage site — and a 20-minute drive to the Qufu high-speed train station.
