Bangkok--29 Mar--Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok welcomes an award-winning chef team from China for a special “Culinary Treasure from Hubei” food promotion at Shang Palace Chinese Restaurant until 30 March 2013. Prepared with a combination of all tastes in China, Hubei cuisine focuses on quality ingredients and spices to enhance the flavours of dishes. The cuisine is sourced from fish-based aquatic products with heavy gravy and bright starch and is represented by multiple cooking methods such as braising, stewing, frying and baking. During the three-day promotion, five Hubei chefs, which include Executive Chef Weng Huajun, who was awarded the title of “Gold Chef” at the National Hotel Catering Assessment in 2008, and Chef Chen Kai and Chef Li Jun, who both won the 4th Hubei Cooking Contest Individual Gold Award (Pastry), will create traditional Hubei dishes for residents in Bangkok who have the passion for Chinese specialties for lunch and dinner.
