Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) yesterday held a merit-making ceremony for its 53rd anniversary at the Company’s head office. Dr. Sorajak Kasemsuvan, THAI President, said that each year the Company organizes a Buddhist merit-making ceremony to commemorate its anniversary with members of THAI’s Board of Directors and Management, and employees. THAI also conducts charitable activities, by sending representatives to offer food to sick monks and present donated funds toward the hospital for monks.
Other annual activities include presentation of certificates to newly appointed captains and THAI memento to staff who have worked for the Company for 25 years and 35 years. THAI also conducts an awards ceremony for promoting working morale for staff. This year the presentation and ceremony were conducted on 30 April 2013. On the marketing side, THAI’s anniversary is being celebrated at the “Rak Khun Tao Fah 2013” event, from 12-15 May 2013, at the Siam Paragon shopping complex, where THAI is offering special deals on domestic and international tickets, Royal Orchid Holidays package tours, as well as a chance to win free tickets.
