Jaymart is now ready for 3G market after 3 major mobile networks officially released their 3G services with customer-oriented sales and marketing strategy, expected 40% sales growth amidst fiercely competition in mobile device market.
Mr. Adisak Sukhumvitaya, CEO of Jaymart Public Company Limited, Thailand’s leading distributor of mobile phones and accessories, revealed that around May, 3 network operators: AIS, DTAC and True Move H will officially launched their 3G services on 2.1 GHz frequency band. Thus all 240 branches of Jaymart shop, as the leading distributor of mobile phone and tablets, have been well-prepared for turnkey services as following: 1) Mobile phone for sales, especially 3G smartphone of more than 30 models from all brands, with promotional package from all network operators. 2) Migration of 2G subscribers to 3G networks, the process can be done within Jaymart Shop. 3) Experienced and well-trained staff on 3G technology available for customer services.
“The consequence of the officially launched of 3G services creates high needs in 3G mobile devices, which had been foreseen by Jaymart to stock 120,000 3G mobile devices per month: 100,000 of inter brand, and 20,000 of J-fone. Besides, 40 branches of Jaymart shop will be opened in the second half of this year, to be 280 branches in total at year end from 240 branches at the moment.There will be “Mobile show” in Bangkok and other provinces for market expansion, and creating 3G technology awareness. This year, Jaymart expects to have 40% growth in sales and profit.”
Mr. Adisak added that this year, mobile phone and tablet market is expected to have 20 million devices sales and 30% revenue growth rate driven by smartphone and tablet until year end, thus share 12 million devices of the market. From May onward, the competition in telecommunication industry will be more fierce, starting from network provider, mobile device manufacturer, including distributor which will aim to expand 3G network, debut of new smartphone and tablet, promotion package to boost sales of 3G services, expanding of distribution channel or branches to support market growth, serving and creating customer experience on 3G service.
Meanwhile, the price of 3G smartphone is expecting to start from 3,900 baht and will go down as demand increase, until year end, the price will fall down to 2,000 baht. The price range of mobile devices available for sales in Jaymart can be served all range of customers
