Asst.Prof.Dr.Pisanu Toochinda and Assoc.Prof.Dr.Luckhana Lawtrakul from School of Bio-Chemical Engineering and Technology (BCET) won a Gold Medal and a special prize of excellent achievement from Malaysian Association of Research Scientists (MARS) at the 41st International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva which was held at the Palexpo Exhibition Center (Geneva, Switzerland) on April 10-14. They brought honor to the country for their invention, Nanoencapsulation of Active Compounds from Plants using Beta-cyclodextrin and Microwave Enhancement. The Gold Medal was awarded in the category of “Foodstuffs — Drinks — Cosmetics — Paramedical — Health Hygiene”. With 725 exhibitors from 45 countries and around 1,000 inventions the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva has confirmed its position as the world’s most important specialized meeting place. Many exhibitors have done good business during the show. It attracts investors and companies from the whole world.
