Zen Event Gallery 8th Floor Central World Bangkok - Recently, Mr. Alejandro Agag, CEO of Formula E Holdings launched the new innovation of racing technology, called Formula E, from United Kingdom, as the one only electric car and make its first appearance in ASIA at Bangkok Thailand.
Moreover Formula E Holdings announced Thailand as the one of ten cities around the word to host the FIA Formula E Championship 2014 in honour of His Majesty the King’s 86th birthday. As well, Formula E Holdings plan to roadshow with Mr. Lucas Di Grassi and new Formula E car during this year before the racing in the year 2014.
The latest innovation of Formula E is being built by Spark Racing Technology (SRT). The highlight of these technology are ease to control, futuristic design, less cost production and weight but more safety. Tyres are supplied by Michelin.
The Formula E accelerates from 0-100 Km/h (60mph) in 3 seconds, with the maximum speed of 220 Km/h. The Formula E car will have a unique futuristic sound that wwill be 80 decibels (ordinary car = 70dB ; Formula E = 80dB ; Bus = 90dB) and the weight of the car and driver is approximately 780kg. Formula E also intends to serve as a framework of R&D round the electric vehicle and accelerate general interest in EVs for personal use.
About FIA Formula E Championship:
Formula E is a new FIA (F?d?ration Internationale de l'Automobile) championship featuring racing cars powered exclusively by electric energy. It represents a vision for the future of the motor industry over the coming decades. The races will be held in the heart of the world’s leading cities, around their main landmarks. Demonstrations of the first cars will commence in 2013, followed by the first official electric car race in 2014. The plan is for a grid of 10 teams and 20 drivers in 2014. The FIA has expressed its delight with the sport’s shared values of clean energy and sustainability. Formula E hopes to promote general awareness around sustainability. It also intends to serve as a framework for R&D around the electric vehicle and accelerate general interest in these cars for personal use.
