Sugar Asia 2013 expected to attract the who's who of sugar and allied industries of Asia and other region
The 5th exclusive International Exhibition & Conference on Sugar and its downstream industries — Sugar Asia 2013 is hosted by Nexgen Exhbitions Pvt. Arguably, Asia has become the most dominant force in the global sugar industry. Most of the top ten producing countries, namely India, China, Thailand, Pakistan and Philippines are located in the region. There is consensus amongst analysts that this region will drive the industry through consumption and import demand.
Thailand’s sugar industry plays a central role in the country’s economic and social development, generating annual revenue of over 50 billion baht for the local economy, and creating employment and income for more than a million sugarcane farmers and workers in related sectors. Being one of the world’s leading producers and net exporter of sugar, Thailand has plenty to offer in terms of trips to farms, millers, ethanol distilleries and various factories.
“We choose to hold the Sugar Asia 2013 in Bangkok because Thailand is 2nd largest exporter of Sugar and one of the Major exporters of Ethanol as well in Asia. Thailand is situated in the heart of Asia, it projects the best definition of business with current value in international market and with few other reasons like 14 new Sugar Mills are going to be erected in Thailand and formation of ASEAN Sugar Alliance (ASA) will be another boon for ASEAN Sugar Industry.
