Bangkok Bank Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors KositPanpiemras;Bangkok Bank (China) CEO SuwatchaiSongwanich; Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Patima Chavalit; and Vice President, Public Relations, Aphiwat Punnopakorn gave Baht1.5 million toEconomic Reporters’ Association President Amornrat Charoonsmithand the Association’s committee. The funds will be used to support the advanced development of economic journalists, including a 6-week (36-hour) training program under the theme of ‘Building up Knowledge about the AEC and Economic Analysis’. Thetraining course will end with a study trip to Shanghai.Bangkok Bank and the Economic Reporters’ Association have worked on this project for eight consecutive years. It aims to provide useful knowledge to the media and a good understanding of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC)to support better news reporting, as the AEC is a strong focus of interest to the public that affects many sectors in society.
